Wonderful Indonesia
I had the privilege of partnering with the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Indonesia (@WonderfulIndonesia) as a photographer and influencer, embarking on a captivating journey to explore and showcase Indonesia's rich heritage and exotic cuisines. Alongside a group of esteemed global travel photographers, we ventured through five distinct regions of the country: North Sumatra, West Sumatra, Jakarta, Central Java, and Bali.
Our adventure took us to breathtaking locations, including the awe-inspiring Lake Toba in North Sumatra, the world's largest volcanic lake. We had the opportunity to visit a traditional village of the indigenous Batak tribe, witnessing the intricate process of making Ulos, a traditional textile. In West Sumatra, we indulged in the renowned Padangnese cuisine, savouring the flavours of the region.
One of the highlights of our trip was ascending Borobudur Temple, the largest Buddhist temple in the world, located in Java. We were also captivated by the art and craft of Javanese Batik, a traditional textile art form. However, the most treasured memories were the moments we spent with the warm and hospitable locals we met along the way, who left us in awe with their positivity and kindness.
The journey through Indonesia was truly extraordinary, and here are some of the cherished highlights from this remarkable adventure.
